The Cool Things We Built with Claude Code

We lead two small companies. With Claude Code we rebuilt our whole brand and our operating system and my fundraising knowledge base. Here is what that looks like — and eight things you can try this week.

This has not been delightful by any means. It has been hard, it has been wrenching. But here we are — what started with me knowing barely enough to be dangerous turned into a wall-to-wall rebrand and a rebuilt company that now hands working tools to our clients.

We went from a small small business to a big small business — one punching above its weight. Claude Code is creating a whole new reality for us. Push the tools you are using to their limits. You are in charge. You have agency.

Five Things We Built That Changed How Our Two Companies Operate

None of this needed a developer or a big team. It is the kind of work a small company can do for itself, one enigmatic piece at a time.

1

A Wall-to-Wall Rebrand

The whole brand, rebuilt as one brand system — the company and every service under it. One palette and one voice, encoded so every new page and deck comes out on-brand without us re-deciding it each time. Painstaking focus to set up canonical wording, but wow does it pay off.

What it took — a written brand system developed in Claude Code and transported to Claude Design.

2

The Company and Service Infrastructure

The boring, load-bearing stuff — the operating systems behind the company and each service. Processes written down once, then run the same way every time. Claude Code is helping us process map, connect data points, and interrogate every workflow and SOP. The plumbing a three-person team never has time to build is the plumbing that lets a three-person team act much bigger.

What it took — turning how we work into files Claude can follow.

3

Agent and Human Solutions to the Problems in Front of Me

A massive team of matriarchal agents that handle the daily work alongside us. Our morning brief is ready before the day starts. Romy watches relationships and tells us who has gone quiet. Big Rupert, coming soon, will prep our meetings. Each one solves a problem we used to drop on a busy day — and each one has a human accountable for it.

What it took — one skill per problem, built and named, not a single giant bot.

4

Built Solutions for Our Clients

Working tools and deliverables our clients use, made fast and made well. The kind of thing that used to mean an agency invoice and a six-week wait. Now a small firm like ours can hand a client something polished inside the same week.

What it took — the brand and infrastructure already in place, so building is the easy last step.

5

A Living Knowledge Base

Everything the company knows, written down and reusable — books, guides, curriculum, and the process behind how things get done. We indexed everything we have ever made — campaign plans, workshops, every fundraising asset — into a digital twin of our work. Instead of living in one person's head, it lives in files our agents and our teammates can both read. It compounds. Each project adds to what the next one starts from.

What it took — saving what we learn as we go, so it is there next time.
